It has been shown that liposomes made up of a mixture of ceramides and phospholipids are capable of repairing skin with an altered lipid barrier.

By themselves, liposomes are systems capable of increasing skin hydration, since their composition (phospholipids, cholesterol, ceramides) is closely related to the intercorneocyte lipids responsible for the skin's water status.

In a study carried out on the influence of liposomes on the water content of the skin, it is shown that this effect depends on the physicochemical characteristics of the polar groups of the phospholipid bilayer.

Phospholipids with a high content of zwitterionic groups and an appropriate amount of soy lecithin phosphatidylcholines (our serum)  increase skin hydration, with a maximum level after 7 days.
